As the name suggests, simple syrup is an easy to make classic that can be mixed in to just about any cocktail-mojitos, sangrias, margaritas...you name it. If your cocktails are a little too tart for your liking or the flavor is not as detectable as you’d like, you can add simple syrup about a teaspoon at a time to sweeten and amplify the taste. Ingredients: -1 cup water -1 cup white, granulated sugar Directions: 1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan 2.Cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved* 3. Turn down heat and let cool 4. The Cocktail Snob

Is there a cocktail more simple than a gin and tonic? I think not! The gin and tonic is one of those classic cocktails you can whip up in a pinch. And even though it has just two ingredients, there are so many ways to customize and add razzle dazzle. The Gin One half of this classic cocktail is the spirit. Gin is a clear, distilled spirit made with botanicals. And whether you pick a dry gin or one that is heavy on botanicals, you really can’t go wrong. But beyond that, there are other wats to spruce of the G in your G&T. For one, you can add a flavored gin, like Indoggo’s Strawberry Gin ..read more

Jump to Recipe Even the Cocktail Snob needs a break from alcohol from time to time. I love this recipe because my boyfriend and I came up with it together randomly one night as we were making dinner. We wanted something to drink but were tired of drinking alcohol. Strange, right? haha! So, we opened our pantry to see what ingredients we had on hand. And the things that jumped out to us were pineapple juice, mango juice, and ginger beer. And because we’re both Jamaican, that sounded like an amazingly delicious combo. I let bae do the mixing and he. created. a. masterpiece. Get you a boyfriend ..read more

The Cocktail Snob

Jump to Recipe Nothing like a nice, fruity sangria when the temps start to drop! This recipe was adapted from Sally's Baking Addiction. Like I always say, the secret to a great sangria is patience. Once you throw all the ingredients together, you have to give them time to meld and marinate in the pitcher. Sangria is like a good stew. The longer it sits, the better it tastes. And this Fall sangria is no different. Make it ahead of time and give it time to chill in the fridge before serving it. You won’t be sorry ..read more

Jump to Recipe The secret to the best summer sangria is simple: patience. That’s right-to make a great sangria, you need to be patient to give all the ingredients time to marinate in that pitcher. Sangria is one of those drinks that tastes better and better the longer it sits. So even though it only takes a few minutes to whip up, I wouldn’t serve it right away. Make it ahead of time and give it time to chill in the fridge before serving. I know you’re excited to drink all the fruity, boozy goodness. But letting the flavors of all the juices mix together is really what makes for the best summ ..read more
