You may have heard some recent rumbling of Spotify making some big changes in 2024, one of which is that they will start cracking down even more on fraudulent activity - bot-generated streams, etc.

Sadly, I've spoken with too many artists who have gotten their entire artist profile and catalog of songs permanently taken down from Spotify because they unknowingly used a service that added their song(s) to playlists that were using bots. Chances are you've either ..read more

In this week's episode, we have Evelyn Cormier back on the podcast to talk about her song "You Were You Are." Evelyn shares how this song emerged from her first-ever co-writing session in Nashville and shares more about the collaborative and creative ..read more

I left our time together feeling incredibly encouraged and inspired just from being around so many other passionate, gifted people, and thought I'd share a few things I'm still thinking about, in hopes that it will encourage you as well.

In any industry, it's important to be able to distinguish between colleagues and con artists. This is especially true in Christian music, where unfortunately there are some who try to take advantage of artists by posing as experts eager to help artists while actually being out for their own gain.
As a veteran Christian music marketer, I'm blessed to have many amazing colleagues in this space - people who genuinely care about spreading the gospel through music and helping artists grow their community. We have a shared passion for this work and a desire to build each other up. Even when we compe ..read more
