I got a 2013 with the mikuni carb, has a bog/lag when you stab the throttle so wanting to do the zip tie mod. Took the throttle body cover off so do it and there was no accelerator pump spring to tie. It was just the round piece that the throttle cable connects to (can pull it apart and send a pic if needed). But no sign of accelerator pump actuator spring. So just wondering if theres a way to do the mod on the mikuni carb or if there is a different metheod that can be used to speed up... Mikuni zip tie mod ..read more

I have a 2006 YFZ 450 with a Monster Exhaust, FCI, Werks Crank and Rod, Ported and Polished Head, CP 13.5:1 Piston running a 50/50 mix 91-110, Mildly Bored Carb. I’m curious if anybody might have a guess at what HP it’s pushing the way it is? I just had the whole bottom end cases replaced and gaskets ......my bike started before I sent it to the shop to get done ....I got it back won't start ..I replaced the battery ,starter ,solenoid,and solenoid plug...still won't turn my bike over the starter has power it just clicks and sounds like the starter is trying but won't turn it....any ideas??? Ok, so i'm trying to take apart my motor and can't figure out how to get the flywheel(i think) off. i got the stator cover/stator off, and used an impact gun to get the nut off of the flywheel, but can't seem to pull it off. do i take out the 4/6(or more, can't remember) allen head bolts as well? anyone have a link to a service manual perhaps? thanks, Mitch ..read more

so I have a 2008 yfz 450 that, according to the previous owner, is completely stock and nothing has been tampered with. Ever since I got it the clutch has been slipping. Like, whilst in 1st gear with the clutch completely pulled in, I noticed that the bike slowly inches forwards. Also, if I rev it up with the clutch completely pulled in, it will jump forwards a little bit. It also feels like a grip strengthener when I pull it in. I dont know if I need to replace the clutch, or if it can be... clutch slipping not sure what to do ..read more

I just noticed a leak by where my radiator hose connects to my water pump cover, and I’m wondering if that’s a bad gasket?
