Hello, I‘m searching for info on what I think is an oil leak coming from the rear driveshaft seal ( where it exits the rear of the engine or what may be considered the transfer case). I started noticing an oil stain under my grizzly, it seems to be dripping from what I believe is a dust cover/boot that covers the rear driveshaft. It appears to be quite a job, just to access the seal. I‘m looking for advice from anyone that’s replaced this seal on this old of a machine. I've read dozens of posts on gas tanks overheating or vapor locking but they're all older bikes with slightly different problems so I thought I would post my scenario and maybe someone could comment based on my story instead of speculating based off other's. I have a Grizzly 660 that I had to rebuild the carburetor on. It was previously super rusty inside and didn't run worth anything. After rebuild it worked fantastic for a couple months. Ran fast, could go full throttle and power was extraordinary. Was driving it back to my house and it suddenly died. There was a sound of backfiring out the top of the engine under the gas tank.
