I was just trying to change the rear axle gear fluid in on 2009 griz 550 and the manual says to remove the oil level check screw "did that" then to remove the bottom drain screw!!!! well i saw that i need a allen wrench so i got my millimeter allen set. screw would not budge and stripped it, then i cut a grove for a screw driver, still wouldn't budge. Scored a pretty good condition 2004 660. Will be my duck hunting rig mainly... But some hills and chainsaw time too... It has some obvious stuff needing to be done, tail light etc... Guy I got it from bought it a few years ago... it sat mostly. He just had the carb gone through before sale as it was gummed from sitting...... and a new battery. I have the repair manual coming... I've got a 2017 kodiak 700. The foot brake and hand brake are on, but not connected to anything. I'm being told the rear brake in inside the rear end. I'm looking for the lever that bolts the rear end and the brake cables tie into, but I can't find anything remotely close to it. ok mostly asking ridge but. i am getting a pistion for it. was going to bore but just going to leave it. numara has top end kit with needle bearing for about 189 to my door.but i see wisconson i know i didnt spell it right but anyway they are the best but are like 3oo and some. i can get one off the diagram on partzilla for about 150 to my door but dont know what brand it is. i am thinking numara and i can get the 11.1 compresion one instead of the 10.1 just for a little something if anything ..read more

My quad will intermittently go into a limp mode. Usually after driving it hard for a while. I cleaned the carb and it is still doing it. You only have like quarter to third throttle. Usually you could coax it out if limp my de by feathering the throttle or whatever but not any more. Do you think it has anything to do with sparkplug ..read more

My names TJ I own a 06 Kodiak 450 4x4 with diff lock. It's been the best bike I've owned until now. I'm having issues with the 4x4.I bought the new motor for the 5km actuator. Tested off the bike with 3 amps. Rotates both ways but doesnt stop either way. I noticed on the other 2 actuator style videos I watch on YouTube it seems like they go one direction and stop on their own! Is the 5km supposed to stop on its own. So I have a 00 grizzly 600 and I’m having an issue with starting it. When I turn the key the oil temp light comes on. I don’t know if that’s cause it’s low on oil ,or if something is shorted out but regardless that doesn’t work . But if I take the oil fan wire off the battery the light only comes on when I push the electric start button. If I touch the oil fan wire to the battery with the key turned to the on position, the oil fan solenoid sounds like it sparking (or shorting out). Attempted a valve adjustment on 1999 grizzly 600. Used service manual specs for adjustments. First attempt I noticed I was out of TDC zone so re-adjusted and tried cranking over. Had a ton of misfiring. Let engine cool down and opened everything back up, checked tolerances again and it appeared I was solid on the gauges. Buttoned back up, hooked everything back up, still was getting misfiring, then one puff of smoke, now no firing what so ever. If anyone has suggestions that would be...
