Probably a stupid question but just will feel better with someone chiming in on situation..my bike is not starting..I've put a new ecu on after bike not starting before and fired right up,well its not starting again and I think it's the ecu plug because it looks like pics..I've tried snapping it back together but still doesn't start..what are your thought..I was tuning then parked bike,unplugged procom to update tune and don't start ..read more

So i have tested the alternator output voltage 1 set of windings was 47 volts ish at 4000 rpm the other 2 where around 43 ish i dont believe that would cause my rectifier to output not even 13 volts its had issues where the battery would die and not charge but i have tested the voltage of the outputs its close enough and as for the crank posi sensor its reading 179 ohms when kawi says it should read 0.47-0.51 i believe but the resistence seems to change when removed from the bike as listed... Hey guys i just got done fixing the clutch and i have a new FCI intake that is coming this week... overall quad is basically perfect now... however i have one last thing i want to try to perfect and that is starting it... I have never had a fuel injected quad before... i have always had older quads/ bikes with chokes. The one thing that i am strugglign with it cold starts. I have replaced the spark plug already too. I am selling a COMPLETE clutch assembly that came off my 2009 Kawasaki KFX450R. Here is the deal with it... I bought my quad and i had issues where the clutch would engage but it slipped just enough where it would roll in gear... I figured the clutch plates were bad so i bought a complete assembly with OEM plates... This quad i bought came with EBC DRC plates and fibers. Was wondering if anyone has done this or knows how i might be able to do it... I have a 2009 KFX 450... so the issue i had yesterday is that i turned the quad off via the switch but forgot to turn the key off... the quad already has a manual fan on it (runs off a toggle switch) so i am guessing that the relay or fuse or sensor went bad on it.... I kind of thought and expected there to be a light that comes on when the key is on but there is not... i was wondering if there would be a way... Ignition on Light ..read more

Anyone familiar with the TPS? I think mine is faulty and cant really get a clear answer on how to check with a voltmeter. An instructional how to would be greatly appreciated! basically my quad has been breaking up when trying to go WOT. it has a PCV by the way. I believe the TPS is the cause. i would like to know how to check and make sure its working correctly before tearing into it.
