After a game one surprise the Arvade FIre found themselves on the brink of elimination to their cross organization mates, the Littleton Fire. A second period tie breaking goal was the difference in game two for Arvada, setting up a winner take all game three. While game one and two were tight affairs, it was all the higher seeded Arvada Fire in game three, who now advance to the PIHA Finals for the second straight season.

The Front Range Thunder took just two games to knock out the Aurora Royals in the quarter finals. Both games proved to be offensive battles and the Thunder appeared to show up with more fire power on this particular day. With the series win, the Thunder will advance to play the top seeded Mile High Frost later today to punch their admission to the PIHA Finals next weekend.

The Littleton Fie won two very different games to sweep their division quarter final match up with the Black Forest Thunder. After winning in blow out fashion in game one 9-0, they needed every bit of their effort in game two, as they just edged the Thunder 3-2 in overtime of game two. The best of three semi-final series between the #2 seed Colorado Springs Thunder and the #3 Mile High Blizzard certainly didn't disappoint. The series went the distance, after the Thunder won game won 4-3, the Blizzard battled back in game two with a 2-1 victory, and the Thunder prevailed to win the series late in game three 6-4. The victory propels the Thunder into a head first collision with the defending PIHA Pro champion Denver Demon Dogs.
