Marvel fans know the excitement when they see a new Marvel series is coming to Disney+. “Moon Knight,” “Wanda Vision” and “Hawkeye” are prime examples of action-packed Marvel series that fans fell in love with. However, with a first episode that premiered on Aug. 18, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” was a total let-down before it even hit Disney+. On Wednesday, Aug. 24, the varsity volleyball team gained their first win of the season at home against Lake Mary. The team went 3-0, (22-25, 20-25, 23-25). The team had a slow start to the game, they weren’t receiving the ball as well and their communication was off, but as the first set went on, the team settled in and found their groove.  This year the team is full of new girls and hungry athletes. Senior Hailey West stepped into her Chinese class on exam day. Instead of being greeted by separate desks with laptops for testing, she is greeted by their latest project: a tea ceremony to test their Chinese and expand the cultural understanding of the latest Chinese custom the class has been taught.  The Chinese curriculum has only been in place for three years, starting in 2019. Culinary club held its first meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Over 50 students showed up to the club’s meeting, taking up both culinary classrooms. A mix of students who are enrolled in the class and who have never taken culinary showed up to the meeting. Annabella Musumeci, vice president Alexa Sommerfield and treasurer Jenna Hoffman spoke to the new club members about upcoming events, including next meeting dates.  Students split into groups to bake chocolate chip cookies. Football prepares for air raid

Get ready for the air raid.  Before last season, the football team did not throw the ball for yards often, and when a throw did happen it was considered lucky. But last fall, quarterback Anthony Benzija had a record-setting season, passing 1,898 yards and 16 touchdowns with only six interceptions, setting a new record for yards thrown.
