Two new products – Hallerndorfer Landbier Hell and Weizen from the German brewery Brauerei Rittmayer Hallerndorf – have been spotted in the KuulKlever (aka Rest) chain of shops. The Brauerei Rittmayer Hallerndorf brewery is considered one of the oldest breweries in Germany. The family business dates back as far as 1422. The former count’s brewery was the supplier of the Hallerndorf hunting lodge and Count Kulmbach even honored the brewery with his coat of arms for its excellent beer. It is now a modern brewery, which was moved to the outskirts of Hallerndorf (Franconia) in 2012. The brewery i ..read more

New Riga’s Blanche Amocucinare

About a year ago, New Riga’s Brewery sold its beer in the Pyaterochka shop. However, it was subsequently removed from sale, and it was the right decision. Pyaterochka customers did not appreciate the beer, sales were small, and the beer on the shelf was simply spoiling due to not having the best storage conditions. But the Perekrestok shop kept the beer from New Riga’s. The level of this shop is still higher. And today I noticed a new product there – Blanche Amocucinare. Blanche Amocucinare (Russia, Volokolamsk) is good! I love blanches. However, this beer has rather odd characteristics: at 1 ..read more

Fruit beer Super 8 Cherry
Beer Bottle

Fruit beer is a style of beer that can only surprise a beginner who has never tasted anything other than live unfiltered beer. I’m not a big fan of the usual cherry beer, but sometimes it comes, as they say, “like home”. Super 8 Cherry is just the case! The Super 8 brand is produced by the Belgian brewery Brouwerij Haacht Brasserie. We also know her from her Primus and Tongerlo beers. The history of the brewery is as follows: in 1893, Eugene De Ro founded a dairy farm near the town of Hacht. In 1898, he started brewing beer on the farm (probably for domestic consumption), using dairy waste (w ..read more

Baltika 7 old and updated

Baltika continues to experiment with the tastes of its beer, trying to revive that very unique taste. After the success of Baltika No. 3, it’s time for Baltika 7. Its initial density was increased by 0.5% from 12 to 12.5, but the alcohol content remained the same-5.4%. Stylistically, Baltika No. 7 is a Dortmunder (Export), a stronger version of Helles. Before the holidays, I was sent a whole box of new Baltika No. 7 in bottles. I put it on the balcony and it was a mistake! To the question of which beer is better a jar or a bottle? Definitely – in the bank. The crate had only been there for th ..read more

Dacha beer

Yesterday we were shooting a video in Greinruss, and Vladimir Sotskov suddenly arrived and brought his beer. Vladimir is the head brewer of the Dacha restaurants in Malakhovka and Novy Arbat. I’ve already made videos about both restaurants and, of course, about breweries. The beer in both places was great, but I didn’t blog about it. Correcting myself! Unfortunately, beer bottling in restaurants is manual, so it is slightly different from what is sold in bottles. A separate brewery with a bottling line is currently under construction. Dacha Lager #5 is a bright and well-hopped lager similar t ..read more

Cynic Green Edition

With all my ambiguous attitude to sour beers, when they are well made, it can not but cause respect and desire to try this beer. Cynic Green Edition from the famous Jaws brewery is just such a case. Yes, Jaws is better known for its “Looking for a Man”, but the story is somewhat different there. “Looking for a Man” was originally a collaboration with Verhaeghe and was brought from Belgium (now, most likely, it is brewed here). This was the brewery’s first experience with Flemish red ales, and many things have been released since then. Cynic also went through different versions and iterations ..read more

Velvet Royal Krusovice

Meet Kruszowice Velvet Royal. Yes, that’s right — the brand name is written in Cyrillic, and everything else is written in Latin. Going to the end, we must use the Kruszowice Corduroy Piano. I’ll explain if anyone missed it in good ignorance – OPH (formerly Heineken) has translated licensed brands into Cyrillic. Now not Gosser, but Gesser, not Krusovice, but Krusovice, and so on. But let’s leave aside the marketing and licensing gimmicks. The main thing is beer! And here it turned out interesting. OPH sent a gift set of three to Kruszowice. Yes, they followed the Baltic and decided to localiz ..read more

Nashe povo IPA Light doesn’t sound like an IPA

Our beer, not in the sense that the beer is ours, but that it is the name of the brewery – Nashe Beer Brewing Company Ltd. In addition to this brand, they also produce Medvedevskoe (Medvedevskoye). The brewery is located in Medvedevo settlement in the Republic of Mari El. It cannot be called quite small, but it does not reach the average regional brewery in terms of volume. I first became acquainted with their products at a festival in Cheboksary. At Prodexpo, the brewery’s stand was not far from the entrance to Kraft Korner, where I got a bottle of IPA Light. I was warned right away – it’s n ..read more

Great review of Störtebeker beer

Störtebeker beer has long been known on the Russian market. Initially it was imported by the Bayros company, then by someone else. At Prodexpo I learned the good news that my friends InterProjectService are now involved in supplying Störtebeker beer to Russia. They also supply Ayinger. Judging by the fact that Ayinger they carry almost the entire Ayinger line, I hope it will be the same with Störtebeker. The beer is quite decent and their assortment is not small. I was preparing to write this post for a long time, because they sent me a whole case for tasting and it lasted for a week. I ..read more

Camba Weissbier

The Camba Bavaria brewery opened in 2008 in the town of Truchtlaching to demonstrate the capabilities of brewing equipment manufacturer BrauKon. The company built the “perfect” brewery to show to its future customers. But it proved to be “too successful” and an expansion of production was required, so Camba Bavaria was moved to Seeon. Moreover, it was no longer just a brewery, but an entire tourist complex with a bakery, a store, a beer garden and naturally a specialty restaurant. The brewery’s credo is “Ancient brewing traditions with a touch of innovation”. The range is very wide – from tra ..read more
