After getting no reply from Fanatec Support I thought I would try my luck here- The issue- Updated the software on the DD1 and Clubsport F1 wheel- the auto update seemed to work until it got to firmware update the Quick release- I received the message unable to access the file or something along those lines- The wheel would then boot turn the wheel 20degrees to the right and the screen on the DD1 would go blank-- and the firmware updater will automatically open, repeating the message about... Hi I received my Asetek Forte Base and wheel last week and was setting it up over the weekend. My only option for software was the latest 3.0 version and it instantly requested firmware update to the wheel and base) Found and fixed most of the issues I was having with the wheel setup- (usbc cable did not stay in the back of the base- replaced with a different cable, Automoblista 2 would not see the wheel during setup - You have to set the wheel to minimum travel 180 deg, sharp turn to lock... HoiHman's GS-5 Review

My GS-5 review (from a SFX-100 owners perspective) I loved my GS-4 and have posted a couple of times the GS-5 was too expensive and i would keep my modded G-seat. But... as time passed i realised that the best upgrades i have done were always replacing something i loved for a better version. I was slowly justifing the huge price tag for myself and then i knew. I was going to get one anyway in the future, so why not buy one right now I know that there are a lot SFX100... Read more ..read more

FFB Settings Fanatec CSW 2.5

All, I have been scouring the internet trying to figure out what is considered a real setting for Fanatec CSW 2.5 for AC and ACC. I have never raced in real world, so I am unsure of how things should feel. My normal settings feel very close to my MX-5 Miata. However, from the looks of things, every setting I am coming across they seem to run very low feedback settings on the CSW and in games (namely AC and ACC). I tried one of the settings and I feel as though the setting is arcade-ish and... Read more ..read more

Hi all, I am relatively new in SimHub and despite having done some research, I found it impossible to get information in any forum or discussion on the internet, so I am addressing you as my last option. First of all, I am currently working on a DIY steering wheel that will be containing inputs (switches, rotaries...), a VoCore screen, an RGB LED strip, LEDs for buttons' backlight and the electronics. My first choice for the electronics was an STM32 to control all the inputs through... Read more ..read more

Asetek Forte Pedals a SCAM?

You can see here how this thing is built: https://www.asetek.com/simsports/knowledge-base/forte-swapping-elastomers/ My initial assumption was the following: the brake pedal pushes into the elastomer and the elastomer pushes into the load cell, which measures the exact force (up to 180 kg) that your foot acts upon the brake pedal. The elastomer is mainly there to provide a softer feel. The little spring inside the elastomer is there to simulate the "soft" part of braking, before the... Read more ..read more

Hejhej, I was planning my projekt for my new Racing Wheel and I stumbled over the following sentence on SimHub Wiki: "Arduino Pro Micro : The arduino will emulate a TTL and allow RGB LEDs or buttons to be added" Now, I plan to add rgb leds AND buttons and I am wondering, if every free pin is free to use. Will this wiring plan I have in mind work out? Thanks everyone for your help ..read more

Karting gloves

I like my Sparco Arrow K karting gloves. They are very comfortable and well made. They provide very good grip on my leather rim, but after a year of use (one or two hours a week) all the silicons inserts on the palms of the fingers are gone, so the grip now is bad. Apart from that, they look like new. I consider that spending more than 80€ on gloves every year for simracing is simply too much. Therefore, I'm looking for alternatives, either cheaper karting gloves or expensive but durable... Read more ..read more
