Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought my first sim this week. It's entry level, but consists of a Playseat Trophy and T300RS GT running on PS5 - predominantly GT7, ACC, WRC and F1. I have a feeling this is going to become an expensive rabbit hole, but I'm sure others here can empathise with that ..read more

Central support column rigs - any advice?

I recently changed my wheel and pedals. The old set had 2 pedals, the new one, 3. The rig is the sort that has a central column to support the wheel. That was fine with the 2 pedal set-up. However, with the 3 pedal set it's a bit awkward. The brake pedal is right in front of the column if set up as it should be. Worse, the diagonal bar that goes from the support to the wheel base overhangs, so you can't tuck your left foot in to get to the brake. I've moved the pedals as far to the left... Sim Racing PC specs

Yeah, I know. This topic probably belongs in the dedicated computer sub forum, but this place seems to get a bit more traffic, so I figured I'd ask my question here. Every few months I get the itch to step into the fray, and buy a gaming PC for Sim racing, but I inevitably always talk myself out of it. I've got this total-compensator rig with some decent equipment strapped to it, but it all seems to be a waste to have a few bucks invested into my rig, to only be playing..... Gran... Placing sim rig in cold garage

Hey there, As I'm short of space in my house I'm contemplating placing my rig in the garage. The garage is a separate building about 50m away, uninsulated and unheated. I live in the Netherlands close to the sea where temperatures are moderate throughout the year. Actual feeezing temps are rare and usually not more than a few nights a year. The garage is about 6x8meter and 4 meters high. I was wondering what kind of issues I might run into and if there are reasonable solutions to them... Read more ..read more

3dRap Akina and Pikes, compatible with Fanatec

Over the last week, I have seen notifications for Fanatec compatibility of 3DRap Akina Handbrake and Pikes Shifter. We all know by now of the issues that Fanatec is experiencing, and I am trying to limit my exposure to their problems. I have enjoyed using their equipment, but if I can avoid getting any deeper into their ecosystem that is what I will do. I am in the market for a shifter and handbrake for my rig. I game primarily on consoles, so that is a limiting factor. I have ordered... Read more ..read more

Brand New Logitech Pro Wheelbase Not Detecting Wheel - Not Functioning At All

Just unboxed my PS5 version of the Pro Wheel. Even though the wheel was attached it gave me a message saying attach wheel. Reattaching does nothing. Tried on PC thinking maybe I need to update firmware and it isn’t recognized by Ghub or device manager. I haven’t seen any mention of this issue anywhere so I’m assuming I got a dead unit? Really bummed. Link attached is a video of what is happening ..read more

Anyone using Fanatec CSP V3 Pedals with the latest FW 1.35?

Hey all. I'm still using Fanatec CSP V3 FW 1.32, and primarily play GT7. I read last year some folks reporting brake input delay using FW 1.35 so I never updated my pedal FW. I'm seeing some recommendations now to update to 1.35. Proposed improvements in reducing input noise on lower-end. Anyone using FW 1.35, experiencing any issues? more specifically brake input delay? OR recommend updating to 1.35? Thanks ..read more
