Spring is here! Which means it's time to start stashing away those sweaters and bring out all of your silk, satin and linen favorites.

There's been a lot of discourse over becoming "that girl" over the last few years. The girl who has it all together. Who drinks green smoothies, works out consistently, journals, eats salads, and has amazing hair, skin and nails, etc. etc.
And while those are all great things to aspire to, I think I've finally cracked the code on why it never really resonated with me.
Truth is, I'm not interested in being "that girl. I'm interested in being a Renaissance Girl.

I've held off long enough, but I don't think I can wait any longer. Spring is just about a week away and now that it's officially daylight savings time, I think we can start setting our minds to warmer weather, new growth, and all of the beautiful things that the Spring season brings.
It's a time old homemaking tradition to jump into Spring cleaning in the first few weeks of the season. Dusting off appliances, wiping down the windows and letting fresh, Spring air permeate the home.
Over the last few years, I've tried to Spring clean multiple areas of my life aside from ju ..read more

For as long as I can remember, I've stayed away from wearing jewelry that brought too much attention to myself. I've always been drawn to more dainty jewelry - from a style preference and from a desire to be classy, demure and unassuming.
But as I get older, I find myself wanting to showcase my femininity through jewelry more and more. I notice myself stopping by the jewelry sections of stores more than I ever have before. Allowing the sparkles to catch my eye and draw me in.

Hello hello! And welcome back to the Weekend Review.
This weekend I unintentionally became a professional baker. And I loved it.
Who Doesn't Love Nutter Butters?
As you all know I love baking. It's one of my favorite pastimes. I find it to be incredibly soothing, therapeutic and rewarding. There's nothing better than having a hobby where you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor through sweet, delectable treats.
Well anyway, remember that cake I made for my friend's birthday last month? She loved it so much, that she and her husband were raving about it to her mother-in-law, who then asked me ..read more

Welcome to March sweet friends! As I've mentioned in a few of my previous posts, I am starting to feel that excitement of Spring creep up ever so slowly. But as I sit here by the fire, the rain pouring outside, I'm reminded yet again that we are, in fact, still in the midst of Winter.
Don't let the Spring themed videos that are popping up in your feed confuse you! It's still Winter y'all. And as I attempt to do every year, let's get everything we can out of these last few months of Winter, as we prepare for the brightness and warmth of Spring.

I am so excited for this growing season I can't even contain myself! We've got quite the operation going on and just can't wait to see the garden in full bloom this summer.
So here's what's happening!
Started Indoors
Since I'm trying to grow basically a small farm, I started a lot of seeds indoors. It's still quite cold here and even though we're in zone 9b, it gets incredibly chilly at night and it's been pretty cloudy during the day. I wanted to try my hand at a few new flowers that I haven't grown before and it was suggested to start them inside to give them the best chance of survival once ..read more

Hello loves! This weekend was a surprisingly fun one! The weather was warm and I was in the mood for fresh bread.
BREAD
It's been a few months since I made my ,,favorite bread recipe. But I woke up the other morning with fresh baked bread on my mind, so naturally I whipped together this gorgeous loaf! I have a full tutorial on how to make an easy, rustic loaf of bread on ,,Patreon which was the first (and only lol) episode in my "Mastering the Magic of Homemaking" series. It's super easy and such a great way to elevate your meals.
You can watch the full bread making tutorial video here: HOW T ..read more

Since getting married, I've received quite a few requests to discuss different aspects of marriage. How to prepare, how to be a good wife, the difference between dating and being married, etc. And I've all but completely avoided the topic for one glaringly obvious reason...I haven't been married that long.
But, I see now how this can be a space where all of us wives of current and wives to be, can learn together about creating healthy and happy marriages. I'm happy to use this series on the blog to share what I learn through books I'm reading or advice I'm receiving from women in my life. Hop ..read more
