What Feminine and Masculine Really Mean (hint: it’s not what you probably think!)

Something I am reflecting on recently are the energetic forces of both Feminine and Masculine – a lot of people misunderstand the concepts behind these two energetic forces, and it’s so understandable! I often hear from women that they want to "be more in their feminine" or they are "too much in the masculine." What they usually mean is that they want to be softer and more receptive, more sensual and feeling. They want to be less focused on pressurized productivity and doing. (They’re actually usually reacting to being in a version of the “toxic masculine” - but that’s a story for ano ..read more

Are you ready to attract your King?

Many women I speak to want their relationship to reflect the fullest expression of their hearts.  They want their partner to meet them in their deepest levels of feeling.  They want to be seen and cherished in their allness - and known as the love that they experience pulsing in the depths of their being.  They want their oceanic feeling, sensing selves to be held and contained.  They want to be penetrated by the embodiment of conscious presence.  They want to be ravished open beyond their edges, all the way to God. In other words, they want to be in relationsh ..read more

When the Student is Ready, the Teacher Appears

Recently I was out for a walk, thinking about the two books I’m reading at the moment - it’s the second time I’ve read them, but this time I’m taking something completely different from them. It’s like I never read the books before. I keep thinking, “Huh, I don’t remember this book saying THAT the first time I read it!” I 100% do not think it’s a case of me reading it and forgetting. I don’t even think it’s because I was distracted or not paying close enough attention the first time.  It’s actually because I wasn’t ready for it to land in a certain way, so it didn’t sink in. It ..read more

Can I trust the divine?

Can I trust the divine?  This is a question I hear a lot in the women I work with. Usually not in those exact words. More often it sounds like:  Can I trust money? Can I trust my intuition? Can I trust my creative process? Can I trust my desire? Underneath all those questions & many others is trust in the Divine, in God / Spirit / the Universe or however you like to refer to the force that moves all things.  Why is it so hard to trust the divine? Because it asks us to rest in a deeper trust - a trust in something much larger and more unexplainable than we can und ..read more

How do we create real change?

Raise your hand if you ever passionately set a goal, promising yourself that this time, I’m sticking to it… only to “fall off the wagon” shortly after. Yep, me too. Creating real transformation in our lives isn’t always easy. Perhaps you’ve tried talk therapy, mindset, goal setting, or intention setting already and yet you’re still struggling.  Real change NEVER happens through the mind only.  Lemme repeat that: we don’t create change with our minds! Cognitive, mind-based solutions are great, but they can only take us so far. Using the mind and deciding something simply isn’t ..read more

Feminine Power, Alchemy, and the Voice

The White Spring, Glastonbury, England Alchemy is the process of changing something from one state into another. It is a process of transformation. In my work, we are shifting from one way of seeing, thinking, feeling, or being in the world into another. We don't think our way through this process. We have to actually go in to the body and begin up stuck, calcified habits, tension, and patterns (most of the time we aren't even aware of this stuff at the level of the mind!) and dissolve them through body-based somatic processes. And the process of alchemy requires heat. You can't c ..read more

The Seven Types of Rest

As we step into the new year, we can be bombarded with messages of “new year, new start” and there can be a real pressure to set goals and targets for ourselves. However it's essential to acknowledge and honor the importance of winter as a season of rest as we move further into the year as we are now. The natural cycle of shorter days and longer nights invites us to slow down, look inward and prepare for the more fertile spring. Just as nature goes into a dormant phase during winter, it's crucial for us to also take time to rest and revitalize both our physical and emotional well-bein ..read more

The Path to Being Fully Seen

Being fully seen and met in my relationships is one of my deepest longings. And possibly one of my biggest pain points - the places where I’ve NOT been fully seen and met. But the truth is, I hide those deep, real, raw parts of myself.  And I do it ESPECIALLY in those most important relationships where I would most long to be fully seen and met.  Of course it’s easier to be “out loud” with edgy parts of myself in relationships where there’s little investment and little risk. In my most important relationships, the ones I value and cherish, there’s huge investment and huge ris ..read more

Effortless Expression and Joyous Surrender

We think the path of growth and expansion has to do with hard work and getting into action. And it’s not that action is irrelevant, but it’s secondary, and needs to arise from depth, not the other way around.  Let me say it another way - it’s not that our actions take us to depth and expansion. Rather, we cultivate depth and expansion and THEN the right actions arise from that place.  And when you do it that way, it begins to feel effortless.  Because it’s not about doing, it’s about not-doing.  It’s about softening and allowing.  It’s about unfolding. The Step of Faith (or How to Find Your Purpose...)

When I first started my journey as a coach and embodiment teacher, I didn’t know anything about my “purpose” or if coaching was a part of it (spoiler: it is). I had this crazy impulse and I went towards it, and then started to find out on the way that this was some kind of conversation I was having with the universe - a call and response with something that wanted to move through me into the world.  A sort of “soul quest,” if you will. I still couldn’t tell you for sure what my “purpose” in this life is, but I know now that we don’t figure that out sitting in contemplation.  ..read more
