So I've made cannabutter before with no issue. This time I used trim. A lot if it for 1 lb of butter. Been in fridge for 6 hours. It looks like the top layer us butter, but it's still liquid. I used 1 lb, 4- stick unsalted butter for 2 large zip lock bags of trim. I know, a bit heavy on the trim to butter ratio. Can I fix it somehow? I think I found the problem. I thought I would share how to eliminate the taste of the weed to make your edibles more enjoyable. If you have never water cured before, it’s makes all the difference! take an ounce or so of bud in a mason jar, fill with cold tap water or filtered or whatever and let it sit for 24 hours in a cool dark place. So I bought a toaster over broiler to put in my detached garage to decarb in. So far I've decarbed a out an ounce of flower and 10+ grams of rosin. I knew the Wallyworld device would probably be a bit off so I would set the temp a few degrees lower than whatever was called for. But, my tinctures/oils were still tasting a bit burnt. I bought a small crockpot at the local resale joint but it only has a on or off. After about 5 hours now it appears to be really hot. From what I’ve read, 12 hours is the time to cook it but should I shorten that if it’s real hot? Having just got myself a stove top still, I did a distillation of about a cup of dried bud. Did not decarb figuring the steam heat would do that.
