Extremely cold this morning on my run with Merlin (the dog) just enjoy getting out in the snow running. One tip I have is putting my feet in plastic bags & then my shoes on. These really does help to keep the wet out. Nothing worse than freezing cold feet. Running in the snow is to be done carefully, I never follow a plan & training schedules are put to one side. I just run as I feel, if there is a need to walk or change the route due to icy conditions I don't worry. Much better to avoid a slip or fall, which would result in missed training when the weather is better. Sometimes these c ..read more

During the last few months we've been out & about. Pegwell Bay has been a great place to fill time during the lockdown. Here I am out developing my skills in bird watching & really enjoying this new hobby! It's quite fascinating watching the birds & understanding them more, it takes my mind of the current pandemic situation. Some of which I shall share here from time to time. I'm always happy to talk running, so if you have any questions just leave a reply ..read more

I'm going carbon neutral, by running for trees! With the talks at COP26, it got me thinking about how I could do a little more for our planet. So with my enthusiasm for all things running I came across Earth Runs virtual races that plant trees. Our climate is in chaos, so fighting deforestation is one part of the solution and planting more trees is another. By running a virtual race I'm contributing to an actual solution. By running the races, they then plant the trees through partnerships with organisations around the world. It’s simple, it’s easy, it’s running! So my first race was the Rot ..read more
