Hello,
I came across these scratch markings and I was wondering what kind of wildlife made them. Bobcat? Mountain lion? They are about 2-3 feet in length found in Claremont Canyon Regional Park located in California.

Haha this is kinda late. So I put a trailcam in a certain location before the hunt last year but couldn’t return to get it until this hunt and it was gone. I guess it would be illegal cuz it ran thru the archery hunt. I have no doubt that a archery hunter would’ve taken it but just wondering if a DWR officer woulda gotten it first. Idk if they hike a mile deep to find heinous crimes like mine, so I bet it was taken by a hunter. I don’t care about the camera but woulda loved to known what was...

I took my 8-year-old son on a 3 day backpacking trip into the Ruby Mountains in Nevada this week. One fine evening I was taking it all in and caught this great alpenglow shot. I remembered a thread from way back where Goob taught us all about the majesty of alpenglow sharing several pictures from his travels. Well Goob, this one's to you! Many thanks for the tidbits of knowledge you have shared throughout the years!-----SS ..read more

So, this year I decided to try out trail cams. Bought 3 of them off midway on sale. Read up/watched videos on how best to set use trail cams, and then gave it a whirl. Two videos, one each of the first two cams I put out. Haven't made a 3rd compilation yet. Some of the pictures are not that good, but I think they still give valid info. Time of day, phase of moon, gives a glimps into patterns regardless of picture quality. One thing that is CLEARLY obvious, is those more expensive cams...

I may be looking for a unicorn but do any of you know of a single photo card reader that will read both XD and SD cards for a android phone?
I have two digital cameras, one that I carry on my belt wherever I go and then a larger one that stays in my pack. I may just end up packing the better camera in the end.
I can find ones for the SD cards but none for the XD card to plug into my phone.
I am trying to avoid taking a laptop to Africa next year and I much prefer the photo quality...
