Rowan Alawi initially pursued a career in tech, despite her family’s construction business. During her travel between Ramallah and Jerusalem, Rowan spotted a problem: construction workers were sitting on the side road, waiting for someone to pick them up. She decided to solve this problem and founded ‘Amal in 2019. At first, it was a simple Google form connecting construction workers with contractors.
