To say that the past year has continued to be a challenge, would be an understatement. We at WHCM have worked to provide some online content, but did hope that we would have opportunity to connect in-person when offering a networking event this summer. Unfortunately, the response was not what we had hoped. In the planning stages for our fall forum, we took a look at what we hoped to accomplish, and realized, we may just need more time for our members to feel comfortable in in-person social settings. In response to these discussions, we are holding off on our Fall Forum plans for this year, but ..read more

I hope the attached article brings you pause to identify how we as leaders are working with our own teams for retention. I enjoy the opportunity to meet with many of my staff on a monthly basis and am able to have these conversations face to face. In our current lives of remote employment as well as the feeling of disconnect throughout society currently, I can see how we may lose the opportunity to gain clarity around this. Enjoy! It is truly an honor to be posting today, of all days, on International Women’s Day – by definition, “a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and also a day that marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.” How far women have come over the last several hundred years, though let’s talk about a bit more recent…. 2021- Our 49th and current vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris is elected. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history, as well as the first African America ..read more

When the first of the year comes around, it has us making (or dreading) a “resolution.” Over the past two years, I think many of us have probably thought, what is the point? In an attempt to help Photo by Jeremy Bishop on Unsplash us get back to our core needs, we need to flex into using our wisdom and imagination to build our vision. Toward that end, WHCM members enjoyed an inspiring virtual event in January to kick off the new year, focused on the Power of Vision. We know our morals, we know our beliefs, so how are we going to get these aligned to look ahead and build what we truly desire? O ..read more

There is so much power in vision and yet, so many of us do not bear its fruit in our lives… UNTIL NOW! Join WHCM for an impactful virtual session as Julia Gentry, founder of the Dream Factory and Co., guides us through transformational principles around understanding vision while giving us each the chance to craft a greater vision for 2022.
