In order to accelerate the transformation of French Industry particularly impacted by COVID crisis, the French Government is providing aid for investments towards the industry of the future. This programme, named “France Relance” contributes to the spread of digital technology and the adoption of new solutions from the 4.0 industrial revolution. Gardner is involved in the manufacturing of parts for a demonstrator wing project that could change the way wings are designed in future. This advancement in wing construction means aircraft can be built to more efficient timescales. We are producing and supplying complex parts, manufactured in our Derby facility, to GKN Aerospace for them to construct the wing in their new technology centre in Bristol.
