Hello all. I plan on getting a 2012 auto GT. I sold my last 16 auto gt due to financial stuff but am ready to get back into it. I plan on all basic bolt-ons including gears but no stall/supercharger/cam etc...I'm guessing in the 1/4 mile based on these trans ratios the 4.10's will be the best, maybe 3.90's? Any info would be appreciated. I plan on running it on the strip on weekends with minimal daily driving. Thanks, J.D ..read more

About to start a 2005-2007 GT build for the strip only. Want to eliminate as much/many accessories, wiring, carpet, interior, etc....... In fact I plan on gutting everything not absolutely needed to get the weight down before going to work on the cage, suspension, motor, etc..... My question is how do I determine what parts of the wiring harness are needed to ensure the engine will still start and run ..read more

After finding out by recommendations and a few track trips, my NA 3v does need a tire for a good launch. What BUDGET recommendations do you guys have? Don’t get me wrong I’d love a $1400 setup but as money doesn’t grow on trees that’s not in the cards as I’m just looking for a tire that I can use track 90% and street 10% if the time. Thank! Slow 3v still cant hook

I have a 08 gt, 5 speed, 320whp, and can’t hook for the life of me. I’m sure it’s 60% driver mod as I’m new to this but it’s got a built motor and I told myself I won’t boost it untill I can hook. The setup is Viking double adjustable shock Bmr springs Gt500 FRP lower control arms 18’ 275/45/18 Firestone indy 500. I can get a decent burnout but launching at 2500rpm is all spin. Any advice or videos to watch would be greatly appreacted as I cant get a sub 2’ 60 foot which is sad. I would... Read more ..read more

Street/Strip front strut recommendation?

I am knee-deep into my 05 GT Street/strip car build. So far I have cut the front end off my car and replaced it with a rock solid tube front end. BMR member and control arms should be here next week… So that leaves me with the next item on my build sheet… Struts…. I’d like to go coil over, but at $1000 plus caster camber plates and springs an adjustable Viking, Afco, or QA1, I’m looking for other options. I see strange has a steel replacement strut (not a coilover) on sale for about 160... Read more ..read more

Hello Everyone, I am a new member, but I have owned my 2012 GT Premium since June of 2011. I ordered the car with the 3:73 rear end and the MT82. I have enjoyed the car for years on the street, but I want to spend some time running at "Test & Tune" events, AKA "Street Nights" at New England Dragway. The car is essentially stock with 59,000 miles on it. The only things that I have added are the Barton Two Post shift bracket and a Ford oil separator on the passenger side ( In retrospect, I... So many of us have tried differn't springs, shocks, lca brackets etc etc Stick cars are night and day from the auto's when it comes down to set up's. So I say we list both. If you have gone to the track with some good sixty foots please post them here. This should shine alot of light for new members getting into the 1320 scene.. Most of us have tried countless parts and continue to change them to get the best results. I want to save people money and time. Basic run down... Shift RPM?

Ok what are you guys shifting at with a 4.6L and a tune? One pass at the track was 104mph, VS all the rest were around 102mph...so I did something different. Whatever it was, it happened before the 1/8 mile, because that was 1.5mph higher. I was shifting around 6,000rpm. Thanks ..read more
