So I bracket race my stock 03 r6 at the track. Looking to move up and build an r1. Would like to get as much info about the dos and don'ts, mods, etc. What year to go with. I've heard the clutches are horrible for it and want to know what setup is best to run reliability wise. The guys I race with all have busas and zx14s. I like my Yamahas. I finally broke the original factory stock clutch in my '08 after 50 or so passes. I was in the burnout box and the tire stopped spinning, and when I went to launch, you could tell it was not going anywhere fast. It felt like it launched in third gear and it wasn't holding anything, so I babied it down the track and racked it up for the night. It's too bad because I qualified 8th in the Super Stock class.
