On the 30th May 2023, workers at the homeless charity St Mungo’s walked out of their roles and onto picket lines to demand a fairer wage. Abandoning late nights roaming the London streets, or early mornings saving people from overdoses, workers left some of the most stressful and challenging work environments to fight back against the exploitation of their good will. Surrounded by the mirrors and glass of the swanky St Mungo’s head office, wedged in between a fusion concept restaurant, a sourdough bakery, and a restaurant called “Champagne Route”, the strikers loudly reject the 1.75% pay rise ..read more

Pre-election
On the day before the second round of the Turkish presidential election, people’s feelings are mixed. Many —especially people in the streets such as taxi drivers— seem to be sure Erdoğan will succeed. Others say that Erdoğan’s regime still has a chance of being removed from power; people across the country are so unhappy, not only the Kurdish people.
“I hope that Erdoğan loses, but I don’t believe it.” Some say.
Either way, everyone still maintains an ..read more

This May we have seen another round of sentencing for at least 4 comrades, for standing up to the police during the 2021 Kill the Bill uprising in Bristol. On Friday 12th May, Danny, Carmen, and Leah were sentenced, and on Monday 22nd May, Foxy was sentenced.
Although these defendants had been left waiting for over 2 years by the courts, we turned up in force to show that they are not alone and not forgotten. They were met with solidarity demos outside court in the
mornings, and courtrooms full of supporters during their hearings.
