Once frost has blackened the foliage, dig out the bulbs and tubers.Carefully remove as much soil as you can. Cut off the remaining leaves to 2-3 inches and split. Let the bulbs dry for 7-10 days in a warm, frost free enviroment that is well vented. After this remove all remaining soil ,making sure they are dry. Then dust the tubers and bulbs with sulphur or bulb dust. Store bulbs in vermiculite or dry peat moss in a cool well ventila ..read more

These bands will stop the wingless adult female cankerworms from laying their eggs in the tree’s crown. The bands are made for foil faced insulation and a sticky substance called Sticky Foot. Apply Turkey Trot as an organic fall fertilizer. Turkey Trot is a granular, organic fertilizer that will build up in your soil, improving it year by year. It can be used in gardens, flower beds and on the lawn. A little goes a long way. A 5 kg bag is equal to half a cubic yard of manure. Rake and clean up all leaves and debris from lawn. Top-dress and over seed to improve the appearance of your lawn. Cut the grass short to a height of 2 ½” at the end of October. A lower height will help soil dry more quickly in the spring.
