Each night for the past few weeks I've spent a "beer or 2" searching and marking trailheads. OnX has a cool function for glassing that shows what you can see from any specific location. Marking glassing locations within 6-7 miles, around the 3500-6500 ft range. Im betting its gonna be 5000-6000 with the mild weather. I figure if I crest 5 miles it will limit competition. If I find good boars I will pack camp out with a few days food to giter done. Tomorrow I'm calling a few biologists to...

I'm taking my .308 as it's the lightest rifle I own. I had a bunch of Remington core lokt 180 gr. I've been shooting that and am coming to the end of my supply. It shoots fairly well from the gun and before I buy more I thought I would get some opinions. I've only shot 100 yards so far, but soon I'm gonna stretch it to 200 and then 300. I will let my skills...

After searching the 'net I decided to take my bear to Rugs by Nancy. One of the best decisions I ever made! They did a beautiful job! He was 180lbs so not a huge one but I'm happy all around.
Thanks to Nancy and the Team!
