Not sure if mine would meet the rules, so might be something to check. Google says something about needing to extend from frame rail to frame rail and cover both the engine and transmission, which is probably fine for a tube chassis car but harder to implement on a production monocoque.
Mine coves the engine and bell housing, but not the transmission. Smoothing the airflow under the car might have picked up 1 mph possibly, there are a lot of things under there to catch air and slow you down. I built mine when Street Out ..read more

Since I started over with the Snot Rod a couple years ago. It has been a best of 10.53-127.
I have been running some old JR headers that are 1-5/8 with a 3" collector(these headers have a very nice port and are bigger than the edelbrock exhaust port). I stepped the headers 1-5/8-1-3/4-1-7/8 with a 3-1/2" merge collector. And a new set of piston rings that were 25 years old.
The 50 year old GK cam I previously installed at 108.5 but I advanced it to 105.
And of course new seat belts every 2 years.
