It’s morning. You do it again, touching a cold screen which helps you to follow things that are outside, but not inside you. You freeze as you’re trying to choose a movie to watch or a JPG to upload to your profile. When at work, instead of telling your boss “Screw you,” you just smile and shake his hand. You are not the master of your life… I know why. Have you ever tried a newly installed Windows operation system? It works like a charm. Unless you install more programs… You open a movie, a browser, and the computer tells you “E-E-E-E-E-E-R-R-R-R”/// A day passes… A month… The operation syste ..read more

How to make the most of your day

I have a ritual. Without it, I would be the same as before, distracted, confused, without focus. Only this ritual helped me make the most out of my day. Oh yes, every morning I open a can of beer and start watching a sports match!!! As you can see, I’m kidding. I am not Al Bundy :). So I go to shower, eat, and when I come to the office, I do the following: a) I glance at the emails, and b) I prepare a list of tasks. I adore the to-do list. The to-do list is closely related to the start of the day. The to-do list is an excellent prelude to a successful and happy start to the day, without which ..read more

Once upon a time, there was a man who possessed an exceptional power—the ability to function without ever sleeping. He became known as “the man who never slept” or the man who never asks himself  “How to make more time for yourself?” It was shocking that insomnia had not harmed this man’s heath; he ended up living for 94 years. His name was Al Herpin. There are many such figures in the history of humankind. Some famous insomniacs are Thái Ngọc and John Alan Jordan. There was also a woman (Inés Fernández) who had always slept normally, but who one day felt a pain in her head. That pain ch ..read more

Stop Saying, “I Don’t Have Time”

“I would like to make my dreams come true, but I don’t have time and motivation,” an acquaintance once said. What do you think I replied? First, I asked, “Answer, what did you do yesterday?” and our conversation went like this: “Me???”  “Yes.” “I was with a friend…” “What exactly were you doing?”  “We played a PC game.” Mhmmm… Do you say you don’t have time, you damn sloth??? Do you know how much time games eat?  I was a fanatically devoted fan of Enemy Territory and CS. It killed five years of my life.  Oh yes, everyone has time, but not everyone uses it properly!  F ..read more

Stop trying to be productive 24/7

I often write about productivity, time management, but some people misinterpret my thoughts because they think I encourage you to be productive 24/7. They claim, “But how can I be consistently productive?!”  But I don’t think you need to be productive all the time! For example, today, I did nothing. I sat down at the computer only at 6 PM. In the morning, I lay down like a cat wriggling. And then I meditated on the floor, being stroked by the sun. Then I took a walk along the coast of Nice… Mmmm… I was saving energy for productive work. Because when you are rested, you can complete tasks ..read more

Why time management tools don’t work

When I started my first company (13 years ago), I had to put in a lot of work to get my first clients. After a good three years, customers poured in. With success, problems began the following suit: I didn’t have time to serve so many customers on time. One complaint after another had me feeling overwhelmed, leading me to realize that I had to work smarter. I couldn’t plan my time and delegate work; I was thinking like a freelancer. These issues led me to delve into the ins and outs of time management and strategic planning.  I started with online articles. After learning about the fathe ..read more

A ridiculously useful time management tool: The Grenade Method

The Grenade Method is a time management tool. The tool’s essence is to prepare a daily work plan or any project’s idea in 5 minutes, and present it to others. With this method, the person is transferred to a situation where he commits to complete a project, so he is not distracted by phone calls and focuses only on what is most important.  How the Grenade Method works Imagine you’re trying to finish your dream project, but you can’t—it’s stuck in place. It doesn’t move forward, nor does it uplift or motivate… there’s not enough time. Your career and personal life achievements depend on t ..read more
