One of the benefits of going on a Brighton treasure hunt is that it is a compact city. You can cover a lot of the big attractions and interesting things to see within a couple of hours. Black Cat Treasure Hunts doesn`t forget though that everyone sees things differently, hence why I like to offer personalised treasure hunts. Read this article to discover a classic route through Brighton but find out how a Brighton treasure hunt gets the Black Cat Treasure Hunts treatment on the way round!

Each year I get a specific type of email asking, "Can you write me one of your personalised treasure hunts? (Yes, of course, I think. These are my favourite treasure hunts) .... I live in Inverness." (Well, I think, I`m sure your hen party treasure hunt in Brighton will be a lot of fun when you get down here.) She continued, "What sort of cost will it be to write one in Scotland?".
Now, I have actually been to Inverness before, but only when I was young. I do remember it being a wonderful place to visit though and most likely a suitable p ..read more

"Please could you book a team building activity or post conference activity for over one hundred people."
If that is the message you have just received and, although you are definitely the office superhero, maybe you have just died a little inside. Fear not, Black Cat Treasure Hunts may just have the answer to help you retain your sanity and your problem solver status.
In the middle of January, I had an email that concluded, "I was wondering if you are able to offer anything for that many people!" (For an event near the start of |February)
Now, on the face of it that ..read more

Team building treasure hunts are one of Black Cat Treasure Hunts favourite types of events. Getting people active in teams having some creative fun, whilst exploring and discovering new things about their chosen environment is hard to beat. I recently investigated research on team building and associated statistics, and it turns out that it is way more important than most people might imagine.
Here is a selection of the areas where team building can impact positively on a workplace and underneath how a Black Cat treasure hunt can actively contribute to those:

So...did you get engaged over Christmas? Maybe when you are reading this you have just been proposed to on New Year`s Eve and everything is just sinking in. In fact, 37% of proposals happen between November and January. Wedding planning can start in earnest. The most popular time for the wedding after a proposal is 12-18 months, with less than a year the next most likely timescale.
On average there are 275,000 weddings a year in the UK. However, that figure has been skewed one way and then the other due to Covid. 2023 is still expected to show a much higher number than the average as delayed w ..read more

Black Cat Treasure Hunts likes to be ahead of the game when possible and, with the year ending and, rather than waiting until New Year`s Eve, I have decided that the time is right for my treasure hunt awards to be announced for the best treasure hunts during 2022.
There are four categories of Sussex treasure hunts (although a Hampshire based one did make the shortlist for best family treasure hunt!) and the purpose of these awards is to give you some inspiration as to why you might like to choose a Black Cat treasure hunt for 2023, and what to expect once you have.

Living in-between Eastbourne and Brighton, it is fair to say that visitors mostly ask, "When can we go to Brighton? or exclaim, "I can`t wait to spend a day on Brighton seafront." In terms of treasure hunt groups I would definitely accept that Brighton is number one choice for hen party treasure hunts and most of the time for team building. However, when it comes to exploring or discovering, I don`t think you should write Eastbourne off just yet. Here are seven fun things that you will find along Eastbourne`s seafront, but not Brighton`s...or, at least, not as good on Brighton`s.

Having written a successful Hastings treasure hunt for a birthday during the Summer, it was nice to get an enquiry for another one in the same town recently. Hastings features on the list of downloadable treasure hunts, but these bookings got me thinking as to what I like most about Hastings Old Town in terms of things to see on a treasure hunt route.
Hastings has a strong smuggling past, which is always fun, and there are references to a smugglers trail around the town. Caves are a feature too and that fact concentrated my mind on looking out for treasures `hidde ..read more

A Brighton team building treasure hunt is designed to entertain, inform and, of course, enable team building by having fun. Completing original mini challenges by taking photos and short video clips is one of the ways that Black Cat Treasure Hunts creates this opportunity. Set out below are five classic examples of how this has been put into practice.
1. You never know who or what you might meet or see on a Black Cat Treasure Hunt. A Brighton team building treasure hunt definitely lends itself to seeing and discovering odd things on route. Where else do you get oversized lobsters, a spiky she ..read more

1. Unspecified time between...let`s say 9am and 10.30 am: A typical hen party treasure hunt will start at mid-morning on the Saturday of what, more often than not, is a hen weekend. So, at around the time stated here, one of the party will have woken up after the Friday night exert ..read more
