So, I am giving a try to NW. Of course, I reached the faction selection mission. And undecided, I went to explore a chunk of the world instead. Yes, I am stuck in the "which faction" question. I've been playing since launch, did the last beta some. I'm only level 15 or so now, going pretty slowly. Perhaps I have missed some things that come later in the game. It occurred to me that New World has everything, but just barely. Survival Game When you first start, it almost seems like a survival game. You start with nothing in the forest, and have to scrounge to make food, weapons, etc. It feels a little like a survival game, which normally has no classes and is action/skill based. I'm way more tolerant than some of the usual game bashers here, and I'm giving new games a fair chance, specially when I'm honestly having fun in them. And I definitely got 500+ hours of fun out of New World already, not bad for a $40 game without subscription. I seems like some posters, even older ones, have fully embraced the actual "me me me now now now" culture, with the attention span of a 10 years old and the patience of a hungry toddler, and forgot how old school games (UO, AC1, EQ, DAoC, AO, etc...) were after release. Serious question, how is the game? I just purchased it yesterday on Steam despite all the negative reviews and got banned 24 hours for remaking my character a few times because the character creators skin-color is off and makes me look like a vampire half the time in world vs what it looks like during characfter creation.
