I am always being asked to sell a box or two out of my personal collection. I have decided to downsize my collection.  I have completed some restoration work on some boxes. When I re-work my boxes I do not attempt to restore them to "as new" condition. Instead I try to keep the boxes "character" in tact. Sadly I must report the passing of Dennis Hart. Dennis passed away on Feb. 22, 2024. He was a long time NASTE racer. He started out building Hawksbill Station in Warren, just outside of St. Helens Oregon. The track was in the attic of his shop, constructed of Carrera track. Dennis held many races there, always providing maximum excitement and entertainment! The PASER Outlaw Sportsman cars invaded The Gorge Raceway on a cool Thursday evening. After a pre-race meal at Shari's, a total of 8 racers came to battle with a unique format. Any hardbody from our different Sportsman classes along with any body that would fit a class chassis, raced 2 complete races to score 2 Weener Winner points. Turing John and Racerbob came away with race wins and each racer added a hash mark on the winners trophy. Bad Billy won the Turn Marshall award and walked away with a cash prize. A sunny, warm day greeted 19 racers, competing for 18 starting spots from Bend, OR, Eugene, OR, Seattle, WA. and a host of local racers. Qualifying determined the starting spots for 2 races. On March 14th, 2024 PASER held an Even Thursday Race for the Womp, Flexi, and NASCAR classes. The big news is John Gill made a clean sweap of the night winning all three races! Here's a recap: The first class to sit on the grid was the Womp Class. This class as PASER races it is very limited and restricted when it comes to car modifications. Following the Trans Am race at The Gorge Raceway on Saturday February 24th, a meeting of the PASER Club was held. In this, the first meeting, the ground work was laid for the re-organization of the club. It was encouraging to see some attendees in the meeting that actually could not make the race, but went the extra mile to make it to this meeting. We are all optimistic about what we can accomplish as a group to improve upon our racing program, and our club in general! The Gorge Raceway hosted an open TransAm 2/24/2024. This race combined all the Trans Am Hardbody classes. A mix of PASER, OSCAR and NWTS chassis were represented. A total of 10 racers came and a first-time team of Brau and Kaelah hit the track for great racing, good food (Lots of stuff) and a wonderful time of fellowship.
