Hi folks, I've scoured the forum for info on converting an electric club car ds to gas. I have a donor gas cart for engine, trans and all the ancillaries. I'm really looking to find out how easy it is and if there is a previous thread of someone doing it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!:thumbup ..read more

rebuilding a resistor 36v series 86 DS I changed my brushes and got down to the wiring and stumped, as I have had several contradictions on wires from fnr, motor and controller. Now I’m concerned with frying something. As mentioned I reviewed a few different schematics on the sticky section and need some help. Some are perfect matches to the factory set up. 1989 DS conversion to LiFePO4

I'm new to this forum, and new to golf carts! I have a '89 DS with the V glide ( I assume...it's got the "wiper" assembly for the accelerator). Recently got it at an auction, with dead batteries, so we decided to go with lithium. Do I just hook it up the same way the battery pack was before? I'm assuming I can/should bypass the charger receptacle; I'll modify that for the new plug when I find the time. In the meantime, I will probably not have the charger on board. Is there anything else I will need to modify or bypass? I'm not a dummie, but I'm not an electrical whiz boy either! Thanks f ..read more

Roof supports question
Buggies Gone Wild Forum

These support brackets that angle to the rear were part of the original golf bag holding assembly that has been removed. My question is are these used for any other possible option? For example the rear folding rear seat/cargo unit. If not I would like to take and cut them off flush with the roof supports. I can imagine them being dangerous, and also wearing a hole in the enclosure. Thanks for the advice. Dave 2021 EZGO RXV Freedom Elite Attached Images IMG_2602.jpg (143.0 KB ..read more

Time to replace starter generator
Buggies Gone Wild Forum

My 2007 Club Car starter generator has been acting up for a while. New battery, new belt, but pulley is worn, so it slips when trying to start. Sometime when starting it will hit compression stroke, and start slipping, and sometimes when it does not slip, it will SLOWLY turn over, then the engine starts. So most likely it needs replaced. Am seeing a ton of them on the net, amazon etc, and prices all over, averages seem around $120 or so. Visibly, I do not see any differences but is there something I need to be aware of, from year to year? Thanks ..read more

2001 TXT PDS Grinding/Clunking from motor
Buggies Gone Wild Forum

I picked up a 2001 EZGO TXT PDS a couple weeks ago and have been trying to figure out a grinding/clunking noise coming from the motor when coasting at lower speeds. It doesn't make the noise on normal acceleration or when initially lifting off the throttle. Regen is enabled on my controller and the noise doesn't start until it seems the RPM has reduced enough that regen kicks off. Here are my cart details: 2001 EZGO TXT 36V (3 bolt steering) Alltrax DCS400 controller New batteries (March 24) AMD DE2-4007 motor I took the motor out and replaced the input shaft on the differential side.
