I am on the verge to buy a k98k Byf 1944 double claw but i am not really sure about the authenticity of the gun. I was browsing a flea market in Wiesbaden, Germany, today, and I came across a Hensoldt-Wetzlar Dural Dialytan 4X (Serial 16774). It has what I believe is called a "claw" style set of mounts (though I believe it is incomplete). Would anyone be able to share what they know about this optic and its employment by german armed forces (if at all)?
