Mod note: posts 1-3 have been moved from this thread: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/trentbarton-discussion.268549/ The thread was discussing the use of a Yutong coach demonstrator and the fact that it has a side lift rather than one built into the front entrance. If they opt with Pelican for a new Red Arrow fleet, the service will have to be moved up to the coach bays in Derby Bus Station and it simply couldn't operate out of Victoria... Read more ..read more

The website countrybus.org linking to Ian's Bus Stop, the definitive history of London Transport buses appears to have "gone down" and is now shown as a website "under construction". Can anyone shed any light on whether this is a temporary situation or whether we have permanently lost this research resource? TIA Just found the answer to my own question. The information is now at busspotter.com ..read more

My son asked me earlier if he could do paintballing and while researching venues, I came across this image on Google supposedly from our nearby paint centre (Delta Force Bristol). The bus is clearly an ex Sydney Leyland Atlantean but I am not aware of any being repatriated, especially not to use as a paintball target, so presuming they have tagged a stock image, anyone able to confirm please ..read more

Nottingham City Transport have announced the routes that will get the next batch of electric buses due early 2025. They are 3 (Clifton), 5/7/8/9 (West Bridgford), 46/47 (Woodborough), 48 (Clifton) and 70/71 (Bulwelll). The 48 allocation has surprised me. I wonder if deckers are no longer required? Plus the 5/7/8/9 had new Enviros a few years ago - will they be sold on or cascaded to other routes? More details on the website here ..read more
