Driving anywhere in Europe can be quite a culture shock from the States, and Mallorca is no exception. Driving through mountains, tight towns, and on country roads all require you to stay alert and on your toes. Here are my top five tips for driving in Mallorca.
1. Rent as small of a car as possible
Everything in Europe is a little bit smaller than we’re used to in the states. This includes parking spaces and streets! You’ll want to reserve as small of a car as possible when driving in Mallorca. Visiting Parc Güell is an iconic and must-do for your time in Barcelona! One could easily spend hours here wandering around and admiring the beautiful architecture and mosaic work. Here are 5 tips for visiting Parc Güell in Barcelona!
1. Take a Taxi There
While I am usually all about public transportation, visiting Parc Güell by cab is something I highly recommend! There is a nearby metro station about a fifteen minute walk away (the Lesseps stop on the L3 line), but it’s an uphill climb from there to the lower park entrance. Also, Parc Güell sprawls across a pretty big hill, itself! Instead ..read more

In September 2022, I was really craving a vacation but wanted something affordable and easy. I was about 2 months away from moving out of NYC for good so decided to take advantage of several cruise ports being right at my fingertips! About five days prior to departure, I booked a 6-day, 5-night cruise out of Manhattan on Norwegian Cruise Line that was headed to Bermuda. I was so excited, but there was a lot I wish I knew before my first cruise!
Well, fate had other plans. The day before departure the island of Bermuda was side-swept by Earl, a category 4 hurricane! Norwegian quickly re-routed ..read more

2022. What a year! The world was finally opened up and almost free of Covid-restrictions. I knocked off almost 10 states from my journey to visit all 50. I spent quality time with family and friends. And now I’m ending the year in a different city ready to set down some roots (but don’t worry- plenty of fun travels ahead in 2023!). Enjoy my 2022 year in review!
January – March: Sunshine and Snow (no in between)
Finally took my bucket-list drive through the Florida Keys! Took a slow ride through the towns of Islamorada, Marathon, and finally ended in Key West (just in time for sunset). (Januar ..read more

On my journey to visit all 50 states, I spent Labor Day Weekend 2022 knocking off two more! I flew into Kansas City and was able to spend some time in Missouri and Kansas. While visiting all fifty states isn’t exactly the cheapest goal, it certainly does not have to be expensive either! For a few of my trips, I decide to be transparent and post my “all in” costs, to hopefully show that there are easy ways to spare your bottom line while traveling! Here are my total costs for a weekend in Kansas and Missouri!
Flights – $11.20
About two weeks before Labor Day Weekend, I was scrambling to find so ..read more

If you visit the Sunflower State and don’t visit a sunflower field… did you even go to Kansas? Visiting Grinter Sunflower Farms is easy. It is a hop, skip, and a jump outside of Kansas City and is a perfect day trip if you’re in the area. The field blooms in late August/early September so it is a perfect Labor Day Weekend activity. I visited in early September 2022 and was blown away by the one million sunflowers (literally- there’s a million of them). Here are my top tips for visiting Grinter Sunflower Farms in Lawrence, Kansas!
