FWISD School Board has finally made it to FreedomWorks Wall of Shame! You have probably seen viral stories from all over the country regarding the poor treatment of parents at school board meetings. You may have also listened to the impactful and oftentimes difficult to listen to speeches. I am here to tell you today that our very own backyard is up to the same antics. WE LEARNED THE HARD WAY IN 2020 THAT A COUNTY JUDGE HAS SOME  PRETTY INTRUSIVE POWERS. Each County Judge in Texas works with the Commissioners Court to oversee the many aspects of the above graphic.  Think of your County Judge as the "Mayor" of the county and the Commissioners Court as the "City Council".  (There are 4 commissioners that oversee a district within the county).  If you notice the portion that says PROVIDE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT we learned during the recent pandemic that this management can ruin your life.  I lost my job over the unconstitutional mandate ..read more

Our Tarrant County Primary Race had a lot of great contenders and while many of my favorites are on to November, a couple did not make the cut.  Sadly Warren Norred for SD 10 lost to Phil King and Glynis McGinty lost to Andy Porter.  We will still be in good hands. There are 2 great places to see all of the Primary Election information including interactive maps and lots of numbers.
