I got my first pipe this week. Its a Baraccini 145 and am liking it very much. I ordered and have been smoking some Lane 1Q and a tin of Peterson Early Morning Pipe. I am liking the 1Q as it is easy to smoke and keep lit. I find that it doesn't burn to hot but the Peterson EMP I find difficult to keep lit and burns very hot in my pipe. Is it my technique or does EMP just burn hotter and harder to keep lit? I find that the flavor I get from the Peterson not to be as nice and more harsh. I know that it may just be because it is overheated but if I try to smoke it slower so that it is not so hot ..read more

Hey there guys! I just tried GLP quiet nights and, while I liked it quite a bit, I was left wanting something with more Latakia and a more overt aftertaste, similar to Peterson 965 but with an even fuller taste. Apart from nightcap (obviously), what would you guys recommend?
