Been driving the M7 on the new LIRR route. Fairly new to the game and there's the 2 parts of the speedometer. One blue arrow and then the usual red arrow for the speed limit (see photo) and then there's the constant over speeds! Always getting emergency brakes. In a 60mph zone and getting the brakes slammed on for doing over 15... can anyone explain?

I've put 555 hours into Trainz 2019 and have just seen that the Platinum Edition Bundle for Trainz 2022 is available for £28 down 92% from £342.30.
I mainly play the Surveyor Mode and the new Surveyor 2.0 has got me seriously considering buying it but wanted to know if it's worth it?

Interested in coming back to the newer trainz games after many years off and curious about painting, locomotives in particular.
Back in TRS2010 and TANE, i could get away with doing by own blanks and stuff, but modern model and texture detail seems to have made this direction nearly impossible, especially with how locked down everything is.
I would love to make my own content from the ground up but i do not have the heaps of time, skill and money that would take right now
Do any freeware or payware groups provide / sell blank templates of their content to paint on?
If not does anybody do comm ..read more

I'm still pretty ignorant to the railroad industry, but still think watching and operating them (in sim) is incredibly fascinating. I'm trying to fill in some knowledge gaps with a few scattered questions.
I'm new to building these trains. TSW generally has trains ready and you just go. I believe you want to maintain a certain HP/car (forgot the stat there, I'll look when I'm home), so what ratio is that? Why do some engines in the front stack get reversed? And when/why would you consider putting engines in the rear?
I've asked this before, but perhaps worded it wrong. I like to do routes ..read more

If you wanted to make a handy comparison chart of train/railroad simulators would you include everything or just ones that are active today?
And which would you include? Here's a potential list:
BVE Trainsim (OpenBVE?)
Densha de Go!
Diesel Railcar Simulator
Microsoft Train Simulator (MSTS)
Open Rails
Rail Simulator
Train Simulator
Train Sim World
Run 8
Trainz
Mechanik EN57
MaSzyna
What items would you include in the chart?
Here are some ideas:
Simulator Name
Ancestors
Country of Origin
Developer
Open Source?
Free?
Edit Tracks/Scenery
Size (Small/Medium/Large)
Learning Curve

Most of the train simulators I have ever used have features like trackside views, helicopter or drone views (where the camera stays at a fixed position with respect to whatever engine or car it is set to view.) Run8 doesn't seem to have this feature at least not as easily accomplished as in other train sims.
Don't get me wrong, Run8 is still my all time favorite but I thought maybe I was missing some trick or technique.
Thanks
