Yes, that is the bad point, it seems a fake, rebuild, restoration or anything similar. I did not pay a lot, and it includes more fossils in the pack. I like it because it looks beautifull in my mini museum, and always i can get the teeth out from the stone and get different pieces ..read more

One of the many Moroccan fakes. The teeth are real mosasaur mated to a faked jaw. Note the sketchy unrealistic material between the brown part of the tooth (the real part) and the jaw.  It is possible that they mated the real teeth with a real piece of some kind of jaw bone but these teeth were never in that jaw.  You didn’t say what you paid but if it wasn’t much money that would be your first sign it was faked to one degree or another. I hope you didn’t pay to much ..read more

Hi i recently buy this piece to a friend. It comes from morocco (Al Aaiún). The shop says it is a Cocodrile jaw, but a geologist friend identified as a Mosasaur Jaw. There are some teeth of sharks similars to Otodus sharks in the back part of the stone.  I have compared the jaw with a mosasaur tooth and it is very similar. What do you think?
