We have another nursery reveal, although this nursery may look a little familiar. That’s because we technically already revealed it as our Earthy Gender Neutral Nursery E-Design a few months back. Since then, however, we’ve had the whole design rendered so we have new images that show even more of this gorgeous neutral nursery!
We started with the furniture in this nursery because the clients were anxious to get the larger nursery furniture on order. We knew we wanted something natural and warm, so we chose this stunning crib and dresser with a rounded accent. All the sources for this nursery ..read more

Gone are the days where baby blue is the king of boy’s nurseries. There are so many design options now for nurseries, and more subtle and sophisticated colors are trending, to the delight of interior designers everywhere! Like our recent post on sage green nursery decor, slate blue is a versatile color that can almost work as a neural. It’s a great choice for any nursery, although we have been getting lots of requests for this color in gender neutral nurseries.
One of our most popular nursery E-Designs is our Neutral & Slate Blue Board & Batten Nursery. It’s a more modern design using ..read more

One of the nursery trends we’ve been absolutely loving this year is the addition of sage and deeper greens paired with neutral colors. So many clients have been asking for this color combo for their nursery design! Green is one of the most underrated colors—traditionally, light greens were used in nursery design, like mint green or pale pastel green. While we love those shades too, the richer greens have so much more depth and interest! Below is our most recent Virtual Nursery E-Design for a client who wanted this gorgeous color scheme.

Here at Little Crown Interiors, we don’t generally design nurseries with a blatant theme. Sometimes we will weave in a subtle theme, but most of our clients ask for nursery designs with a sophisticated feel. However, we do always ask clients if there are any themes that they like since we do need subject matter on occasion for things like artwork or bedding. One nursery theme that our clients to ask for frequently is the safari theme. We’ve pulled together five nursery designs that all feature a safari theme in varying amounts so you can see just how much variety there can be with a theme!

The whole interior design industry is talking about AI design—a lot of designers are experimenting with what it can do (and what it can’t). So far, we’re able to create stunning nursery inspiration images…but the caveat is that they aren’t real. The products that AI uses when designing are completely made up, so you can’t find them anywhere.
The Parisian style nursery above was something we designed with AI, so none of those items are real things you can purchase. While that’s a bummer, it also created a fun challenge for us! So we decided to take some of our favorite AI designed nurseries an ..read more

You have probably noticed that the scallop detail is having a moment in nursery design! That means we are seeing lots of decor and furniture companies selling pieces with this sweet detail. The curved lines can help soften a space and give it a cozy, organic feel. Typically a scallop detail lends itself to a more traditional aesthetic, but it can also be paired with modern pieces for an eclectic look.
1. Neutral Scalloped Chandelier: This neutral linen semi-flush mount chandelier is just darling! The large fluted design gives the light fixture the sweetest scalloped look. The linen adds ..read more

At first glance, this stunning room isn’t even a nursery. When you walk into the space, the first thing you see is a gorgeous cozy sofa, a pink ceiling and a wall of built-in storage for shoes and accessories. It feels like any girl’s dream closet and lounge. But then, if you turn around, you’ll see a crib and changing table, children’s books displayed on the wall and bins of toys. This project was truly one of a kind!
How did we end up designing a nursery/closet/lounge? Well, our client had already been using this room as her personal closet and lounge space. She had installed built-ins to h ..read more

Lately, we’ve had a lot of clients asking for neutral nurseries that aren’t, well, neutral. Creams, ivories and beiges were super popular over the last few years, and we’re noticing that clients are starting to go for deeper hues as neutrals now. We’re seeing requests for sage green, soft grays, wood tones and black. This Orange County client came to us asking for a nursery with sophisticated pattern, contrast and a neutral feel without the neutrals.
