OUR BLOCK #17: CHRISTMAS WREATH (12″ Finished)
When I first saw Vanessa’s block, I immediately saw a Christmas wreath and couldn’t get it out of my head. I knew I could use up lots of small scraps of greens to add some dimension, and a bright pop of red for the bow. What do you guys think?! I kind of want to see a whole quilt of this little guy…

This week’s designer is….drum roll, please…ME!
It’s really hard for me to pick my favorites when it comes to star blocks, but this DOUBLE STAR block is at the top for sure! Part of it is because I get to squeeze in two stars into one block, and part of it is because that gives me more fabrics to play with! There really is something so timeless and classic about star blocks so two can only be better if you ask me!
Please CLICK HERE for the pattern download and read through to the end of our post here for our hints on construction, as well as a special project idea!

I am so excited to share this one with you all. If you haven’t already heard the story of how it all came to be… STRAWBERRY GARDEN was one of my in-house Block of the Month (BOM) programs several years ago, and one of the ones most requested as a “rerun”. Of course, we were out of spots and out of fabric.
So when I designed JELLY & ..read more

Along with the print collection of DENIM & DAISIES, I would like to introduce you to this little accompanying collection of 15 woven fabrics. Plaids, dobbies, ginghams, tickings, and zigzags… each one perfect in its own right. I plan to collect and use these for a long time coming!
Gosh these are so good for so many different things, including bags, backings [they are super soft] and garments. One of my friends is having a shirt made out of one of them and I think I might just do the same… the “dobby print” especially is calling my name and I have already used it on 4 different patch ..read more
