I apologize if this isn’t the right place, but for the past 9 months or so, I’ve been dealing with constant cold sores. More recently I’ve been getting one every three/four weeks. I’ve had more cold sores this past year than I ever have in my life. My doctor has been on Valtrex, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I’m so frustrated and don’t know what to do. Hi everyone. I know this may be a silly question but I am honestly super OCD since my diagnosis. I keep reading things on the internet and I feel like its just making my OCD worse. I was diagnosed a week ago; on my 7th day of meds today. The doctor gave me 10 days of meds, but said I only need to take them for a week. I am going to continue until the 10th day just for a peace of mind. I am feeling much better and my downstairs area finally looks normal again. (HSV1-Gential). When am I able to have sex again? I started seeing someone new recently; we went on a few dates within a couple of weeks time, and after our last date things started to get physical so I stopped the situation completely to disclose my ghsv1 diagnosis. I haven't had any luck in my google searches, so like to hear some of your opinions... I've had a cold sore for about a week. I'm pretty good about washing my hands frequently. All morning I've had foreign body sensation in my eye (feels like something is in my eye) but have no other symptoms of ocular herpes. Is it possible for foreign body sensation to be the only symptom of ocular herpes? Is it more likely a coincidence that I just have something in there I can't see or scratched the eye, etc? I am starting to date casually and I am pro-disclosure. However, the people I would disclose to would be new people who I want to be honest with, but do not neccessarily want to be too open with. I 20 F has been talking to this guy 21 M from my college class for about the last week. He was so into me it was hard to believe and I was very skeptical.
