Over the past several years my sons have worked hard to harvest bull elk during the archery season, and this year their efforts paid off. Younger son Doug got his 5x5 bull then helped his older brother Jonathan get a 4x4. I went goat hunting with them two weeks earlier, but couldn't make the elk trip. I drew an archery elk tag for late Septmber New Mexico. Curious how many other 2Coolers have same sickness lol. First time out west and pumped. Got Sevr broadheads ready out to 60 and Iron Will single bevel out to 50. Could stretch further but I wont do it in field so no since in potentially wasting $40 arrow lol. I had planned on shooting all year this year... didn't happen. Pulling the bow out next week and getting back on it. Also got new boots and I'm getting them out in the open air to 'off gas' ... still smell like new rubber. I have a chance to hunt up north somewhere for two weeks. Wisconsin - Montana... not sure which place I'm going to land yet. Wisconsin has great numbers in B&C and P&Y but also has a good amount of bow hunter numbers.
