I was lucky enough to score several boxes of old Game News from 1956 thru 1986. They were being thrown out and I was able to contact the lady and picked them up. Looking through the issues the one thing that strikes me is the early issues don't mention a whole lot about deer hunting. Most covers are song birds, small game and trapping. There is an archery article by Tom Forbes on archery tips and field archery was a very popular sport and clubs seem to draw lots of shooters. Just a few... Old Game News ..read more

I started out with Muzzy fixed blades. Tried the QAD Exodus, Rage Hypodermic, and NAP Spitfires. But I've settled on my favorite which is the SEVR 1.5. I'm sticking with them as they have been great to shoot and do amazing damage when you put them into the vitals of a whitetail deer. They shoot great, hold up well. and well, I just like them. So what are you shooting this year ..read more

Curious what rest yinz have on your compounds? I don't plan on swapping out my Starhunter anytime soon (because I'm old and hate change), but my stuff is ancient and tends to fall apart on occasion. It's probably wise to have a backup plan ..read more

I strapped it to a tree at the farm about 15 feet off the ground and then stepped onto the platform. One of the platform leveling cables snapped and nearly sent me on a free flying lesson! Thank goodness I was wearing my harness. I came home for some clean... My Harness Paid For Itself ..read more

So my weapon of choice, a 2005 hoyt xtec, finally gave out on me mid TAC tourney. Two things I could use anyone’s help with and I will include a picture of the failure. One, what is this piece called? I have decided to call it a “riser axel spacer” but no clue if it’s the right name. And two, is there any chance Hoyt still has the spare part as this time? Just having the right name of the part would help a lot for research. Thanks ..read more
