I think a BIG "Thank You" is well deserved to the Mercer County Fish & Game Club for putting on yet another excellent program this year at TradFest. I thought this one was the best one yet. After the feb KTBA shoot it was decided a bridge had to be built. Both courses must now be accessed by the wide bridge to the north of the clubhouse ( where the running boar, and smoker round starts) It is wide enough for 4 wheeler and trailer, and will by the time tradfest starts, have a handrail. Had a good hunt this morning didnt get anything but that didnt matter.I havent got to hunt as much this year because we were late getting our crops out of field.I had a buck that had lost antlers chase doe around me this morning about 15min.He had just lost them not long ago because you could see bloody spots where they had been.Good luck to yall that are still at it ..read more

First let me clearly state that I have no issues with those who choose to hunt with a rifle, crossbow, compound, or pocket knife! I choose what I enjoy using and hope others do the same without criticizing those who choose different. But being Trad only I find myself staying home most of the time during rifle season.
