I may be late to the conversation but I’m watching Josh Bowmar on YouTube kill Cape buffalo with his mechanical broadhead. I listen to him on a podcast discussing the design and effort that went into building his broadhead and it sounds impressive. I’m NOT a mechanical guy but what I’m seeing either a fluke or he has developed one on the best broadheads ever. The design with the high end spring that allows the blades to flex when penetrating bone and expand into tissue seems to be legit... Beast Broadhead - Josh Bowmar ..read more

I’m a south east whitetail hunter primarily but I’m looking to go elk hunting out west, specifically Northern Utah. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good hybrid spotting scope size? One that could use for whitetail but also for elk out west? Currently looking at Vortex models specifically ..read more

Turbonock Factory Store ( Carbon Recycling Program) I am starting up a program to recycle Carbon arrows and end cuts from making carbon arrows. One project I am doing is making over nocks to fit the new small diameter arrows. I also am doing some experiments on other uses for this material. ( I have a MA in Sculpture and am working on using the carbon to make strong light weight sculpture armatures.) If you have an archery shop and make a lot of arrows I am paying $5.00 a pound for the... Carbon Recycling Program For broken arrows and cut offs ..read more

Hey guys, I’ve had a big life change here lately for the better and I’m just getting back into vertical bow hunting after about 10 years off. Last August I was over 360 pounds. I had a gastric sleeve in September and through dieting and walking, I have gotten my weight down to 180. As a result, I have lost a lot of muscle as well. When I bought the bow off the classifieds here back in March, I couldn’t draw it. The pro shop had to turn it down to about 50 pounds for me. I’ve been shooting... Improving Groups ..read more

Anyone using these broadheads? They had a ton of buzz when released but the hype seems to have died down and now I do not see them mentioned much here or on any other forums. I was thinking of giving them a shot, any feedback from users ..read more

cheapo energizer brand from Walmart. It has 3 brightness settings on the white light (dull, flood, and spot) and then a red light. One button works the white light, one button works the red light. If I lose it, it's cheap and easy to replace and runs off of (3) AAA batteries ..read more

Don't know what to think about this one fellers.... Went and checked my camera today and this is what it had on it.... The ground directly in front of my tree was completely tore up, the trail cam had been torn off the tree, straps were popped and everything. Camera was laying face down about 10 ft. from the tree it was attached too. Bark was knocked off the tree where the camera had been, like something had knocked it off while trying to twist camera off the tree. This was the only... I was getting worried after such a cold and rainy spring. I have only been seeing 4 chicks from the batch that hatched in May. It's a wonder any of them survived with how bad the weather was. I came inside after shooting today and looked outside to see this mama hen and 11 chicks. Usually there's at least a dozen chicks running around the yard in the summer so this is good to see ..read more
