[LIVE] Head Noise @ The Moon, Cardiff
Post-Punk Press

The usual Sunday shenanigans usually involve being pretty chill, maybe a couple chores and enjoying some much needed downtime. But, for the first time in a long time, I decided to venture out into Cardiff city centre, head down Womanby Street (which is quite frankly, the heart of Cardiff’s music scene) and into The Moon. Six pounds on the door for entry and what I was met with was, interesting to say the least.  I have listened to many different genres of music before, ranging from the heaviest black metal to ambience fit for royalty. I have attended raves, concerts and comedy shows. Wha ..read more

From Eden To Exile – Reason To Hate (Single Review)
Post-Punk Press
by Phil

From Eden To Exile are back! After some time away searching for a new vocalist. They’ve found just the person by the name of Marcin. Marcin has been on the scene for a few years within bands like Ashborn. This track showcases a brand new sound while keeping certain elements of the back catalogue of From Eden To Exile. Reason To Hate is a massive step up, from everything the guys have ever released. You can tell a lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into the writing process of this track. This track had everything you could ever need, aggressive screams. Which are complimented by very Travi ..read more

Dream State – Untethered (EP Review)
Post-Punk Press

Dream State were left with a massive hole to fill when CJ decided to leave the band. However, Jessica has stepped up to the table and brought in the signature vocals that were always present, within Dream State’s previous material. The band was met with mixed reactions when they announced new members, but this EP will prove all of the disbelievers wrong.  Untethered is a breath of fresh air that you don’t really get in the scene at the moment. Soaring screams that really catch you off guard, bout with cleans that are infectious you’re humming the melody.  You can hear emotion in the ..read more

Like Ghosts – Iris (Single Review)

Like Ghosts are one of the bands I just can’t stop listening to, but I always worry when bands have guest features because I don’t know if they’ll keep their trademark sound. However, Like Ghost with their new single ‘’Iris’’ have stepped it up massively. Having Kellin Quinn guest on this song specifically shows you that this band, are here to stay by having a vocalist of his stature on this track!  Iris is a signature Like Ghosts sound while also bringing something new to the table. The soaring chorus really makes sure that you’re humming the melody for the next few hours. This song I ca ..read more

Until I Wake – Inside My Head (Single Review)

Fearless Records own Until I Wake are back with yet another incredible track, titled ‘’Inside My Head’’. This track showcases more clean vocals from Cody Jamison, as well as his harsh vocals towards the end of the track. Which personally for me is the best part of the song as it just makes me go mental!  This track has everything you could ever want from clean melodic choruses to a soaring heavy breakdown that just gets you off your seat whether you realise it or not!   Until I Wake’s previous single Octane was incredible but they’ve yet again stepped it up a notch, with this ne ..read more

Go For Gold – Cope (Album Review)
Post-Punk Press

Arkansas pop-punk outfit Go For Gold are back with their brand new album called Cope. What can I say other than it’s got the traits of the best pop punk beats and harmonies that you can find. Since 2021 the band have released 4 singles from the new album Cope, Step Out, At Home, Part 2, Bloom and Snow Angels all of which I have massively enjoyed. Go For Gold are a band I have been following for quite some time, and it’s no surprise that this album is something special. I always connect to their music on a personal level as their music due to it being relatable to life events. Go For Gold have ..read more

Charismatic Melbourne post hardcore outfit, Some Heard Trouble, release chaotic new single “Death In The Afternoon” just in time for their East Coast Australian tour supporting Proposal, kicking off next week. “Death In The Afternoon”, is a manic, fast paced offering from Some Heard Trouble recorded, mixed and mastered by Callan Orr (Dream On, Dreamer, Bad Juju, alt.). At its core the explosive new single is about the importance of taking care of mental health. Lyrically taking theme from the perspective of vocalist Cameron Brown, the single deals with the pressures of turning to al ..read more
