Just like last year, Bryntesson Motorsport and Jonny Lagg Racing are competing under a common flag as A-Fuel Team Sweden in the Top Methanol class of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship. SFI Foundation re-certification tour in The Netherlands

After kicking off the 2024 European SFI re-certification tour at Santa Pod Raceway on the Tuesday, it was time for the Dutch stop on the Thursday morning, March 13. Racers and team members from Germany, The Netherlands and even Italy, travelled to Hotel Ibis, located almost at Schiphol Airport, to re-certify parts to be race ready when the new season kicks off in a few weeks. With the start of the 2024 drag racing season not far away, it’s time for the 2024 SFI Inspections Tour. The initially Hungarian Team Brothers Super Street Bike team expanded into western continental Europe last season adding Dutch racer Margot Schmidt to the dynamic duo of Daniel Lencses and Kristzian Jasz, the trio being equipped with no-bar Hayabusa rides. 2024 sees the addition of Eric Richard and a breakout from the FIM-E Super Street Bike class into the FIM-E Top Fuel Bike with the French racer bringing his Hayabusa powered turbo funny bike to the party. The 2024 Technical and Sporting Regulations as well as the 2024 Race Procedures for FIA Drag Racing have been published by the FIA. You can read the new regulations here Racers are advised to read the full regulations. We published the revised SFI Specification list on 28th of November. In the sporting regulations the handicap start for Top Methanol Funny Cars remains at 0.22 seconds. Yeovil’s Alan Morrison Jnr grabbed attention on the FIM-E circuit with a breakthrough win at the European Finals in 2022.
