When the Masorti Movement first entered Hostage Square, set up a few days after the initial shock of the October 7 atrocities, like all Israelis, we did not expect the site to become a routine part of our lives. Jewish involvement in the U.S. Civil Rights movement helped create fundamental changes in this country. Women’s League traveled on March 11-13, 2024 and learned about the brave freedom fighters and toured significant Civil Rights sites in Georgia and Alabama.
