Just picked up Maytag top-loading washing machine (MVWC465HW3) Once I make setting selections it begins to fill, it seems to fill for a while and then stops. It immediately drains, until empty. Then the light switches over to "wash", but nothing happens becasue all the water has drained. I have tried different settings, and variables. It does the same thing. Any input ..read more

Speed Queen not filling

Hi all, I have a Speed Queen top loader, model AWN632SP116TW01 manufactured in 2020. We're sporadically getting wash and rinse led's blinking twice. Unplugging, waiting a min or two and plugging it back in gets things working again for a couple of loads but then it happens again. From what I've read those leds blinking twice indicates a fill error. Here's what I've checked so far: cleaned the screens on both of the water inlets. They had some bits of disintegrated washer, but it... Read more ..read more

How come while the washer is off it keeps filling? From the valve at the wall the hot line water goes in the washer only when the washer is on like it should be but if I open the wall valve for the cold line water starts going in while it is off. I have to keep the cold one shut ..read more

Excessive vibration on Speed Queen front loader

I have a Speed Queen SFNLCRSP111TW02 front loading commercial washer which was built around 2011. During the final spin, it tends to "travel" across the floor, especially on medium/high speeds. The vibration is excessive and I'm worried that it will damage something nearby if left unattended. It is in a first floor room on wood frame construction. There is a crawlspace underneath. The house is not built on a slab. Maybe the machine shouldn't be used in such a room but I wasn't able to... Read more ..read more

Anyone familiar with wringer washers (Kenmore & Maytag specifically)? I need some advice.

I'm looking at a Kenmore model 1105702801 (Whirlpool OEM). There's a good possibility that I can get it for under $100. The motor runs, but it seems like some of the mech is stuck due to age. That being said, the agitator doesn't engage yet and the pump doesn't snap into place to make contact with the tire on the motor. I'm fairly confident this can be resolved with a good lube job. I'm also certain the old cork gaskets will need to be replaced as there seems to be a little bit of oil... Read more ..read more

Kenmore Washer Stuck on Child Lock

Hello, my washer decided to turn on the child lock on it's own and I am unable to turn it off. I had someone come out and he said the button needed cleaning and that it would work if I didn't want to replace the entire panel. That worked for a few months but it's done it again. I took it apart and the ribbon looks redder the the others and on the sides it has green corrosion. I tried some alcohol to clean but that was as good as I could get it. Anyone know if there's a way to fix this... Read more ..read more

Maytag Centennial Top Load MVWC565FW2 Grinding Noise At Agitation

Greetings from Tampa Bay!! Videos attached below. Loud grinding noise at agitation, and then noise of a different kind during spin cycle. It wasn’t running before I changed out the actuator via the diagnostic codes. Once I got it running it sounds like this. I’m a handyman at air bnbs so I don’t know what it sounded like before this nor did the guests. I’m guessing it’s either or both the clutch pulley and/or gearbox? Any way to isolate the problem to which one it is exactly if it is only... Read more ..read more

I've been having issues with my Tromm WM2277HS. I had it in storage from May 2018 - April 2023. Once out of storage, I replaced 1 of the 2 drain pumps since it wasn't draining - worked well for another ~7 months. Recently it started spinning extremely fast and smelling like electrical burning which led me to replace the Stator. When I went to do that, there was this rust colored dust/paste everywhere. Took me a good hour to wipe it all out. Once I replaced the stator, I did a test... Read more ..read more
