To Cancel or Not to Cancel?

So the August exam was my first LSAT ever and I scored a 162 when I was PTing in the high 160s (with my highest score being 173). I know that the general consensus is don't cancel a score but my top choice for law school is McGill, which takes the average LSAT score. Granted, McGill's median is 164 and my score is not far too off, but I know that I could do better this coming October (the exam day was a nightmare with anxiety and everything) so I'm hesitating if I should cancel my score or not. I think the rest of my application is pretty strong, with a 4.1X GPA and strong extracurriculars, wo ..read more

Optics of Retaking the LSAT - Help

I'm signed up to take the LSAT for the 1st time in August and am not doing as well as I would've hoped at this point. I've been studying since mid-May full-time but am averaging 156 (best score was 159 which I was able to hit on 2/6 full PTs I've taken, largely depends on how the logic games section goes for me). Logic games were a big, time-consuming struggle and by the time I improved that section (meaning I got to a -8 instead of a -15), I had little time left for LR and RC, which can be inconsistent for me (especially RC). I can't really push the test back to Sept/Oct because I'm moving at ..read more

Is LSAT Demon worth it? I want to raise my 161 to at least 16mid this year.

LSAT Demon's highest tiers seem like great support for somebody practicing for the LSAT but wow it's expensive. Is it worth that much? Is there a better, more economical service? I'm trying to raise my score to be more attractive to Osgoode Hall and if this will do the trick then I'm prepared to do what it takes. Has anyone used LSAT Demon, and is it effective for raising scores ..read more

Study Plan for August 2022 LSAT

Hello, I am planning on taking the August 2022 test and I'm feeling frustrated  by my lack of progression. What I believe to be part of my problem is that I do not have a strong study schedule and essentially feel as though I am "winging it". I was initially supposed to write June and postponed as I wasn't where I needed to be and now I am panicking that August is quickly approaching and I have made no additional gains. I started studying in January and took a fundamentals/core course that gave me a thorough foundation for the basics. In May I began a study process of PT - thorough review ..read more

JUNE 2022 LSAT: How did it go for everyone?

I'll start off I had LR-RC-LG-RC Overall experience for the test specifically was it went really good! LG was very easy, I was shocked! The LR section was also reasonable and easy. First RC for me was easy but omg the second RC I felt like crying!  I had a major technical problem with my Proctor, he couldn't reconnect with me after my break and because of that I couldn't start the other half of my test. So I had to call LSAC. They told me to call ProctorU and they helped me get another Proctor. Approximately I got a 40 mins break. If this happens to you don't freak out, simply call LSAC a ..read more

What score should I aim for (re-take)?

I will be re-taking the LSAT this August and would really appreciate it if anyone has any insight as to what score I should aim for. I took it last fall and got a 162 which I cancelled with first time score preview.  I will be applying next cycle as a third-year applicant and UBC and UofT are my dream schools (as they are for many) but I'd also be happy with UofA. For reference, my GPA is at a 3.84(OLSAS), 85.6(UBC), and 3.9(UofA). I know third-year acceptances are already super rare but I figured I would give it my best shot and I'll always have the score for 4th year. I was averaging ar ..read more
