Just read the thread and no it does not apply to the issue I've had. As I said previously, not all traffic stops, no error lights showing etc
Just got off the phone with Plusnet after having to ring them for an update! Also logged a complaint regarding the wrong info given to the engineer. Alas the person I spoke to wasn't great at dealing with my call, had to constantly keep repeating myself and explaining. Asked for a manager to call me but that will be very unlikely to happen. So much for being a long-time customer ..read more

This can bring about significant difficulty when attempting to send emails using the various P ..read more

The line tests out fine.
The router and the modem apparently remain connected.
... you restart the router and all is then fine ... take a look at this - https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Inbound-traffic-suddenly-stops/m-p/1964539#M364761 - are there any similarities? That is a long thread, but I am wondering if there are similarities, even though the kit is different.
On a different tack, are there any ethernet over power adapters in this setup ..read more

I would just let the process run through and DON'T cancel your direct debit with BT!
BT will/should eventually cancel your phone contract, eventually work out a final bill and (*if appropriate) refund any overpayment via the DD. This can take a while as their billing is usually in advance (not arrears) so depending on what your contract states and how often you pay you may owe them or vice-versa once it's all "come out in the wash".
I terminated a BT phone contract indirectly (and deliberately) via changing PlusNet broadband on the same line and it did take a while to work through the va ..read more
